What have you been taking for granted?

Posted on Mar 11th, 2008 by Nara-Narayana : RADIATING LOVE ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Nara-Narayana
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 11, 2008:

My loving parents, whom I love dearly, and especially my father whom has supported me financially in so many ways that I am overwhelmed by his love. The only way that I can see in paying them back is to take care of them with the same love and as they gave to me, and then to pass that same love, freedom and support to my children, so that they can have an even better life then me, which is always the main goal of a loving parent. These are just a few of the many life long lessons that they taught me, and I love them so much for that.
All of my life my parents have given me so much love and freedom to do what I wanted, which is exactly what I needed so that I could find the path that I am now on, and as a result of finding this path I will be able to pass on that gift to many other souls, including my own children. Without this freedom that they have afforded me, I have no idea how my life would have turned out. They never forced me to do much even when I resisted them. And they always showed love even when they needed to discipline me.
I have recently come to this realization that I have been taking them for granted and have decided to stop doing so; first by telling them that I love and appreciate all that they have done for me, which I have already done on numerous occasions, and second by now giving them more then they give me; love, support and freedom. This is now how I go about my days, and as I do this I find that these actions multiply in my daily life to all others that I encounter. And that is truly a beautiful thing.

I dearly love my parents with all of my heart and soul. They are the best parents in the world!!!

Love ya, Mike and Donna, with all of the light of my soul.

Love

Your loving son whom loves you so much.
Brian.

That is really beautiful Brian. I can relate to what you wrote. My parents sound similar. They always have been so unconditional and loving, and always gave me freedom just to be. That is so very important. I'm blessed to have them as my parents too. I love them so very much.

That's lovely. I'm really proud of you. I did the same for my grandmother; the second half of my life was dedicated to making her life as comfortable as she had made mine. Definitely the best decision of my life. It's where I learned to share love. You're doing a great thing for yourself and others too. Great to know you. Sherri

Thank you Brian. You always bring me much joy. Yes, wonderful parents are very wonderful.  :) I'd have to say that through their unconditional love, they had a huge impact on my waking up… I just had to open up to it. What I used to see as weakness, I now see as such strength.
