This video says it all
Randy Pausch reprising his "Last Lecture"

Help

This video and the story that Randy Pausch tells, about his life, touched me so deeply that I have no words that I can use to describe it. What I can say is that it has had such a profound impact on me that I will be doing some very deep soul searching in my life to see what I am truly made of. The example that he sets, for his kids and all of mankind, is exactly how I wish to live my life.
From Neale Donald Walsch's book, 'Conversations with God.'
We are all in the act of defining ourselves, and every act is an act of self definition. If you are pleased with how you have created Yourself, if it servers you, you will continue doing so in that way. If you are not, you will stop, This is called evolution.
Are you content with your current state of evolution???
I for one know that I am not…….

I love this video….I saw him on Oprah when he gave the lecture. Amazing what the loss of self can do for a being
Thank you so much for bringing this to all of us……
Indeed, (~ ~), indeed.
Jung girl, I find it just as amazing what finding ones'BE-ing can do for self.
You are more than welcome my friend.
Thank you all for checking in and adding to this experience.

Today Randy Paush died at his home in Chesapeake, Va. He is survived by his wife, Jai, and their three children, Dylan, Logan and Chloe. And although they are now left without a husband and father, they are grateful for the legacy and example that he showed them in his life. Here are some excerpts from the article.
Pausch celebrated living the life he had always dreamed of instead of concentrating on impending death.
“I don't know how to not have fun,” he said in the lecture. “I'm dying and I'm having fun. And I'm going to keep having fun every day I have left. Because there's no other way to play it.”
In May, Pausch spoke at Carnegie Mellon's commencement ceremonies, telling graduates that what mattered was he could look back and say, “pretty much any time I got a chance to do something cool, I tried to grab for it, and that's where my solace comes from.”
“We don't beat the reaper by living longer, we beat the reaper by living well and living fully,” he said.
It is not what you do in life that matters, it is what you are BEing that matters. Last week when I was talking with an acquaintance, she was talking about the economy in a negative way, and had made a comment about how she used to look at the world from a 'my cup is half full' kind of way. She then said, “I now look at life from a 'my cup is half empty' that way I won't be disappointed if things go badly, and, of course, if things go well then I will be nicely surprised.”Of course we know that that is not how things work. What you see in life ia a reflection of what you think about it, and your thoughts about life reflects your choice of what you want to see. Change your thinking and you will change your experience.
As she was saying this I was thinking to myself, “I used to think that I was a 'my cup is half full' kind of guy, but now I must say that I am a 'my cup is always full' kinda guy. There is nothing missing in your life, unless you think that there is.
Change your thoughts and your beliefs will change.
Change your beliefs and your behaviors will change.
Change your behaviors and your outlook on life will change.
Change your oulook on life and the world will change.
How would you like the world to look?
Think about it, and you will see it!
